Terms of Service
Last updated 29 August 2026
1. Who you are agreeing with
Donelane is operated by Nathanael Kammermann, 8852 Altendorf, Schweiz. These terms apply when you create an account or use the service. If you use Donelane for an employer, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Your account
You need an account to post. Keep your sign-in details and magic links to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
3. Your content stays yours
You keep every right you have in what you post. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service — to store your posts, show them to the teammates you share them with, and include them in the digest emails your team receives. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not sell your content and do not use it to train machine learning models.
You are responsible for what you post: it must be yours to share, and it must not break the law or someone else's rights.
4. Teams
A team owner administers the team: inviting and removing members, managing the plan, and deciding who sees the feed. Posting in a team means the team's members can read it. If you are removed from a team, you lose access to its feed, and the posts you made there stay with the team.
5. Plans and payment
One team of three is free. Larger teams need a paid plan, billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, which processes the payment — we never see your card details. Charges renew automatically for the same period until the subscription is cancelled.
You may cancel at any time; the plan then runs to the end of the period already paid for and is not renewed. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refunded pro rata. If a payment fails or a plan lapses, the team becomes read-only — the posts remain and stay readable and exportable. We will give reasonable notice before changing a price.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Donelane to break the law, to store or send unlawful content, to harass anyone, to gain unauthorised access to the service or another account, or to disrupt it — for instance by overwhelming the inbound email address or scraping the service at a volume that degrades it for others.
7. Availability
Donelane is a young product provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We take backups and mean to keep it running, but we do not promise a particular uptime, that digests always arrive on time, or that every emailed reply is parsed correctly. Features may change or be withdrawn; where a change is significant we will give notice a reasonable time ahead.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The CSV export exists for exactly that.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability arising from your use of Donelane is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for personal injury, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including mandatory consumer rights you may have.
9. Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in your settings; the Privacy Policy explains what that removes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and except in serious cases we will say why and give you a chance to put it right first. Export your data before you go — after deletion we cannot get it back.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the product changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use Donelane after a change means the current version applies. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect.
11. Governing law
Swiss law applies, so far as mandatory consumer protection rules where you live do not provide otherwise. The place of jurisdiction is the operator's domicile, subject to any mandatory statutory venue.
